Hi,

first thank you for putting all this stuff on this fantastic site !
I have a quick question : can I use the create user webpart to create user on a local server ? for testing / poc purpose, I don't have an AD domain.
If so, can you explain me how...

thank you so much

The current solution has implemented forms authentication with SQL server as the membership store, so the CreateUser webpart is writing to the aspnetdb database. Forms auth works with SQL Server Membership provider and ASP.NET membership provider - using AD. To do what you are asking, you will need to write a custom authentication provider. This should be done first, outside of SharePoint. Then integrate it with Sharepoint by specifying it in Central Admin. Lastly, integrate it with the Web Part.

Hope this helps.
